May 7thWell, I went out and bought an EPT. My period was over a week late, so what the heck. I followed the directions and peed. The ad copy on the box said that it would take a minute to see the results, but the little red lines appeared in less than nine seconds. I'm pregnant.I think I'm still in shock. Other than my period being late, I have not had any of the symptoms I had with my previous two pregnancies. No nausea, sore breasts, mood swings or fatigue. Not that I'm complaining, mind you. Being asymptomatic is rather delightful, and I've decided that I want to stay that way through the rest of my pregnancy. My body might have other plans about this, but mind over matter, right? Remember what I said about pregnancy being bad timing right before Clarion? Well, now I get to find out just how bad my timing really is. Maybe it won't be so horrid to get all my stresses done at once. Yeah, right. Am I excited? Yes and no. After my last two experiences, I refuse to let myself get all revved up until I know the baby is safely past the first trimester. On the other hand, I am pleased and so is Andy. We both want a baby so much. Tile Chess Jason called, he just got a hard copy of the contract. So now it'll get signed and the revisions will get made and that will be one less thing to worry about before Clarion. Clarion Stuff There was a ton of e-mail in my in-box from the very talkative Clarion mailing list. Much of it was about the heat in Michigan in the summer and the need for air conditioning. I just realized that I now have a medical reason to get priority in the a/c lottery. Hmmm... I wound up asking more questions, and got the title of "The Inquisitor" from J. Simon. I rather like it.
