*Jeremy Elliott's eleventh birthday; also the eleventh anniversary of the day the lights were turned on at Wrigley Field. However the game that night was rained out (was there a message in this?) and the first completed night game was not played there until the following evening, August 9, 1988, against the NY Mets. I was not at the park either of those nights (it was a tough ticket), although I lived just a couple blocks east of Wrigley at the time, and had watched from the el platform as the lights were ferried to the roof by helicopter in the weeks before.

#Our fourth wedding anniversary.

+My sister Jill throws out the first pitch at a minor league game in Utica, NY. Come on out--it'll be fun!
