More than one successful author has advised that a writer will produce a million words of crap before he or she is consistently good. Having begun writing at age six, I would like to think that I have put in my million. But just in case not, I decided to restart counting on 1/1/98. Let's see how fast I can heat up the keyboard.
(Sharp readers following the Novel Dare may have noticed that the millionometer is creeping up slightly faster than the novel is proceeding. Yes, I am still working on other--mostly nonfiction--things.)
