The Vanity Mirror

Or - pictures of the author that for some reason she's rather fond of and would like to share...

Portrait of the author as a young girl...

This was taken back in 1987 - I was all of 18. Awwww....

September 2001 - at the Nottingham Panthers "Meet the Players" night. Say hello to Big Bad Barry Nieckar... We call him a "power forward"... <g> All 6'3" of him...

Same night, different goon - I mean "Enforcer"... Clayton Norris, up close and personal... <g>

July (ish) 1999, just after I lost 2 and a half stone due to chronic stomach problems. Sadly, it all came back. This was Dave Matthewman's Fancy dress party, and we were dressed as the "Endless" from the "Sandman" comics. From left, Liz "Mags" Halliday, (Delerium), Me (Death), RC, PTom Pratchett (yes, he is a relative of PTerry...) and Barry.

Mistress Helen and Mistress Mags?

Actually it's Naga the white serpent and her sidekick Lina. But see, Brad Willis from alt.drwho.creative is not only a big anime fan, he also writes the "Mystery Psycho Theatre 3000" series. In which he put yours truly's author avatar as a character. And since Liz and I have often arsed around in the TTR series as our fictional counterparts, he thought this was appropriate. Strangely, so do most of the people who know us both...

September 2001. About 10 minutes before I took a crashing fall at this very jump. The bay gelding is "George" - not the brightest horse I've ever ridden...

And because I'm a masochist, here's another...

I'm including this because he just looks so nice on this one...

Mistress Helen.

Nuff said.

Can be found in "Finn Fang Foom Weekly" created by Finn Clark, on rec.arts.drwho, and in "Mystery Psycho Theatre 3000" created by Brad K Willis, frequently on alt.drwho.creative. Derivations of the character are also found in "Sailor Who" (Sailor Lust) and "Space Vixens". Both written by Brad Willis.

December 2001. "Rosy" A small name for a big mare. Yep, she's 17.2hh. And as soft as grease.
