Barbara is my Best Babe.

She is also a talented writer, loving wife and my reason for living. Barbara is a staunch Canadian, having been born in Vancouver B.C. where she lived until I took her away from mountains and steady rain for the bugs and beaches of the Sunshine State.

We met briefly in passing at a science fiction convention in Orlando, where I was running the SFWA Suite (she was nominated for a Campbell Award that year for Best New Writer). In the following years, we ran into each other online in various places -- she was a Sysop for the Science Fiction area on Compuserve and I was active on GEnie. Soon chat turned to email and then to telephone calls and cross-continent flights. Eventually we decided it was cheaper (and more fun) to get married. I think Delta Airlines stock dropped ten points when the word got out.

Our first writing collaboration, "That'll be the Day," is in the anthology ALTERNATE TYRANTS.

When Barbara gets her act together and puts her own web page up, I'll link to it here. But since she hasn't, I can't.
