JOHN D. HAEFELE
John is an authority on August Derleth’s firm Arkham House, its authors and the Small Press it influenced, and is assembling a complete set of that Wisconsin publisher’s issue. He’s won two "Cimmerian" awards in 2007: one for "emerging scholar", and the other for "outstanding achievement, essay" ("Skull-Face and Others at Sixty”) and he is also a contributing member of The Esoteric Order of Dagon, the Amateur Press Association devoted to H. P. Lovecraft. With plans to complete current fiction projects after finishing his ambitious Derleth scheme, John joined Allied Authors of Wisconsin, a writing group with roots going back to the 1930s.
John is married with children and lives in a home governed by black cat Spooker who tolerates a dog named Lucy.
