Lyn McConchie has been published in eight countries and three languages to date. Her published short stories have climbed past 250 and have won the Australian SF Foundation Medallion and five MUSE Medallions from the International Cat Writers Association. In 1997 she won both the MUSE and the JONNYCAT awards for her story "Death Song" in CATFANTASTIC IV. To date she has sold twenty-four books, with nineteen published so far. Her book, THE KEY OF THE KEPLIAN, written in Andre Norton's Witch World, appeared from Warner in mid-1995 and was listed by the New York Public library as "one of the best books for teenagers for 1995." CIARA'S SONG was published in 1998 and made LOCUS' Best Seller list for September of that year. BEAST MASTER'S ARK (written in Andre Norton's Beast Master Universe) was published by TOR in 2002 and won New Zealand's Sir Julius Vogel Award for Best SF/F Novel of that year. The next in the series, BEAST MASTER'S CIRCUS appeared in 2004, (also a Vogel winner) and a new Witch World book, THE DUKE'S BALLAD (sequel to CIARA'S SONG) was published January of 2005.

(Lyn's third Vogel winner.) SILVER MAY TARNISH appeared late 2005 while BEAST MASTER'S QUEST was published by TOR in 2006. Recently TOR accepted the first in Lyn's new fantasy series, and THE QUESTING ROAD, is to appear in the first half of 2010.

Lyn has had five children's fantasy picture books (THE LONELY TROLL series) published in New Zealand with another in the series under consideration for 2011. Her humorous, non-fiction series about her farm and animals beginning with FARMING DAZE (four others published and a sixth under consideration) is published by AVALOOK PUBLICATIONS in Australia. Lyn has stand-alone books (SOUTH OF RIO CHAMA - a western appeared October 2009, and SUMMER OF DREAMING - a children's supernatural fantasy) out this year (2010) from CYBERWIZARD PRODUCTIONS who have just accepted her expanded, updated, collection, TALES FROM THE MARRIGAN TRADE HOUSE. Another of Lyn's books, VESTIGES OF FLAMES, an SF/disaster novel sold to DAVERANA ENTERPRISES for publication in 2010/2011.
