I discovered a new review site for short fiction, Bluejack.com that contains positive reviews of "Perceptual Set" in the Jan. Analog, which includes the line, " James Van Pelt tells stories within stories, concisely, and beautifully," "Safety of the Herd" in the Jan. Asimov's, which says, "James Van Pelt gives us the gem of the issue," and "The Yard God" in the fall Talebones, which says, " This is a chilling story that lingers in the memory." (2/10/02)

This is an experiment for Fictionwise, an original antho project. The table of contents is cool (I'm in it, so I'm prejudiced), and I've read the other stories. For double the price, you'd be hard-pressed to find so much good stuff. (7/15/02)
