Everything you need to know about Jason D. Wittman, game designer, SF writer, and Clarion graduate.
WHAT'S NEW (as of November 17, 2008)
My story "The Train" is now available at Greatest Uncommon Denominator Magazine,
in print or PDF form. Check it out!
My story "A Game of Knight Court," which appeared in the February-March 2005 issue of
Andromeda Spaceways Inflight Magazine, and received Honorable Mention
in the 19th annual "Year's Best Fantasy and Horror" anthology, edited by Ellen Datlow, Kelly Link, and Gavin J. Grant, can
now be purchased as part of a PDF anthology
The Best of Andromeda Spaceways Inflight Magazine.
(The story is written around Knight Court, a
chess variant of my own invention.)
My story "Femme Fatale", now posted in the e-zine
Jim Baen's Universe, is now available
in the hardcover (that's right, I said hardcover) anthology "The Best of Baen's Universe."
You should be able to order it from any bookstore.
Aftergame is now published in the e-zine
Aberrant Dreams.
My drabble (read: 100-word story) "The Adventures of Carol 'Minnesota' Wilde on the Dark Side of the Moon"
has won at least an honorable mention in the most recent
Between Kisses Drabble Contest.
It will be published in their drabble anthology magazine, The Drabbler, coming out later this year.
My new card game, Spooks,
is now available in stores, and to celebrate, I'm giving a small but
entertaining freebie to my fans. Announcing Halloween
Tic-Tac-Toe, another game of my design that can be played with a pen and paper.
I hope you enjoy it.
My novelette, "On Bookstores,
Burners, and Origami," is now archived on
SCIFI.COM, but you can still read the story
here.
And now: the LMFFL
Non-spam e-mail is welcome at milesmordax[at]aol[dot]com
I've also created a game, Tile Chess,
that you can purchase from Steve Jackson Games.
Thanks for visiting,
