Rich Horton: 3/5/97
Ben Lo, an actor born in our time, still living in the 22nd century, is sent to Proteus, a moon of Neptune, to try to spirit his former wife away from the power structure of Proteus back to the inner system, which wants to use her scientific expertise in genetic engineering of vacuum tolerant organisms. But their are more agendas than Ben understands, and as the story progresses we learn about the political divides of this future solar system, about the interesting colony on Proteus, and about the real nature of Ben Lo and of his wife. The ending is surprising but logical and satisfying.
