Welcome to my home on the Internet.

I will try to keep it less cluttered

than my office. . . but no guarantees.

I'm a fantasy and science fiction writer

who sometimes dabbles in military fiction

and mysteries. And I'm an avid reader

who has far too many books to fit on my

bookshelves. However, I recently got a Nook, so now I can stuff it full of books instead.

I live in Illinois now, in a tiny town that has a gas station, a Dollar General, and a pizza place that has exceedingly slow service. I share my life and my house with my husband, two dogs, an obnoxious parrot, and an assortment of tropical fish.

I'm always working on a new project or three.

At the moment, I'm working on an urban fantasy series with a couple of writing pals. And I'm halfway finished with an urban fantasy set in NYC.

On the editing front, I tackle anthologies from time-to-time, and I edit SFWA's Bulletin magazine.

Being busy is a good thing!
