What did we find on the first level of Dalnir? Horrifying flying creatures called Nibblers, named for their sharp gnawing teeth. They are everywhere on this level, but Bittleaye was teamed with her friends Kukla the warrior and Jord the cleric, and we had no trouble taking them down. |
Jord couldn't stay for long, but soon Kukla and Bittleaye were joined by other members of the guild, namely three other druids: Elethiomel, Dangeron, and Highlea. Kukla and the druids encountered Nibblers, but also more dangerous creatures. The strangest of all the creatures were ugly slurpy things, called "goo". There was smouldering goo, and gyrating goo. The goo cast a poison spell that causes a great deal of damage to their enemies, in addition to hitting you hard with their pseudopods. |
As you can see in that last picture, our group endured a couple of deaths. We had moved further into the level, and took a room called the L room, off to one side of the maze of upper level tunnels. Things went well for a while, but suddenly we were beset by half a dozen of the local denizens, members of all Norrath's races who had been coerced into the service of the Kly. Allied with the Nibblers and the goo, these nasty casters killed two of our party. We retreated back to the entranceway, dragging the bodies of our fallen friends. |
