  At Marriott's Hunt Valley Inn, Baltimore, MD, appearing on several panels, and trying to explain to his editor why his latest novel is roughly a year overdue.

• Personal Appearance! On April 11th (Easter Weekend) Reading and Book Signing at the College of William and Mary's Bookstore in historic Williamsburg, Virginia (my alma step-mater). The bookstore at 345 Duke of Glouster Street. Runs from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM.
   

• The inestimable Gordon Van Gelder of The Magazine of Fantasy & Science Fiction has finally published the best short story I have ever written, One Bright Star to Guide Them. It appears in the April-May edition of the magazine, ON SALE NOW! See a review of this issue at SfRevu.

Andy Robertson has published my latest story Cry of the Night Hound and Last of All Suns at the Night Lands volume II: Nightmares of the FallI This tale takes place in the same background as Awake in the Night, the eerie, horror-haunted, and eternally nighted world of William Hope Hodgson ("And the sun had died...")

• The inestimable Gordon Van Gelder of The Magazine of Fantasy & Science Fiction has finally accepted the best short story I have ever written, One Bright Star to Guide Them. I am not sure in what issue it might appear, so subscribe and buy them all. Hurrah! This means I have made it into the Big Leagues!

• Gardner Dozois and Jonathan Strahan have accepted my short story Far End of History (a Tale of the Eighth Mental Structure) for their NEW SPACE OPERA II. This takes place in the same background as my The Golden Age trilogy, and tells of the future adventures of Atkins, last soldier in paradise, and his endless wars against the Lords of the Silent Oecumene at Cygnus X-One.

• John Jacobs Adams has accepted my novella Twilight of the Gods for his anthology FEDERATIONS.

November 2008

Infinivox has just released "Guest Law" by John C. Wright. The story is read by Tom Dheere.

March 2008

Null-A Continuum receives a starred review from Kirkus. A star is assigned to books of unusual merit, determined by the editors of Kirkus Reviews.

February 2008

Titans of Chaos makes the LOCUS recommended reading list for 2007. I am giddy with delight.

Personal appearance! I will be going to Balticon 41 this weekend. The great Larry Niven will be the guest of honor. I did not get my list of panels yet from the organizers, but let us hope all will be worked out in a satisfactory fashion in due time.
