"I don't even have a name, then," the android said despondently.

"I am about to rectify that," Galen said, holding out his hand. "I need a partner."

Hesitantly, the android took Galen's hand.

Galen shook it and, still holding it, turned to Dr. Bussot and announced, "Doctor, please meet Sam Houston."

The Sounding Stillness introduces Galen Yeager, a secret operative, Hashem Fedalf, his wily superior, and Sam Houston, Galen's cyborg partner who masquerades as a mere android. The magnificent multicolor cover, which, unfortunately, doesn't reproduce well here, is by famed graphic novel cover artist Dave Dorman. Dorman has illustrated many Alien(s) books and graphic novels, and is also known for his Star Wars graphic novel covers.
