KNAAK’S KNOLL

Hi!

The past couple of weeks have been hectic but exciting ones, mainly due to being a part of the awesome events at both the San Diego Comicon and Blizzcon (Anaheim)!  It was terrific to see so many of my readers at both.

The Comicon was a monster by any standard.  An estimated 130,000 or so people jammed the convention center enjoying various aspects of the world of imagination.  There were tremendous displays, great costumes, and terrific guests.  Margaret Weis --- a friend --- was there, as were some of my other favorites such as artists Neal Adams, Larry Elmore, and Ciruelo.

I spent most of my time at the Tokyopop booth, doing a panel on writing novels vs writing mangas in which the other writers included Wil Wheaton of Star Trek: Next Generation, who is working on the ST manga series.  I also did two signings with Jae-Hwan Kim, the genius who drew the Sunwell Trilogy.  We signed nonstop for well over our alloted time, thank you!

I also did a signing at Simon & Schuster for the novels and also was interviewed during D3P’s presentation of their upcoming console games, including Dragon Blade for the wii!

At Blizzcon, the emphasis was all Blizzard and once again I did a panel, this time with Chris Metzen and Christie Golden.  I then spent most of my time with Tokyopop, although I signed every novel, including the Warcraft Archive and Dragonlance’s Legend of Huma, for a packed house!

The trip enabled me to enjoy SD’s beautiful weather, the Gas Lamp district, and San Juan Capistrano to name a few things!  Some day, I hope to even have pictures!  Hopefully, I’ll be back again some time!
