The movie Star Trek Nemesis took place a good four years after the final episode of Deep Space Nine, and two years after the end of Voyager. In that time, we saw that William Riker and Deanna Troi had decided to get married, Data had apparently lost his emotion chip, Beverly Crusher had accepted the job as head of Starfleet Medical, Riker was offered his own command, and Worf was back in Starfleet after a term as Federation Ambassador to the Klingon Empire.

Pocket's big publishing event of 2004, running from February to October, is the A Time to... nine-book miniseries, which chronicles the year leading up to Nemesis and using the Book of Ecclesiastes as the basis for the individual book titles. What happened on the Enterprise-E during that time? What led Riker, Crusher, and Worf to their momentous decisions? Why did Data give up the emotion chip? I am fortunate enough to be writing the grand finale, after four excellent writers/writer teams set it all up. Here's the full list: My finale will include the Enterprise being given an inspection tour, Riker and Troi making wedding plans, Worf struggling to keep the Federation-Klingon alliance intact, and a Federation Presidential election. Fun stuff.
