Daniel Wultz, the wounded American teenager about whom I wrote two stories after the April 17 bombing in Tel Aviv, died Sunday, May 14.

Of course, many innocent civilians die in this conflict, in both Israel and Palestine. But I felt particularly distressed to learn Daniel Wultz had died, because I had covered his story, learned a lot about him, and followed his lingering life. I had filled in too many of the blanks to hear about his death without feeling upset.

I didn't cover his death or his memorial service in Israel. A regular staffer wrote about it, which article you can read at:

In Israel Synagogue, Florida Teen Is Mourned

May he rest in peace.
