Why do I need a biography, again?

A picture of meI thought that surely I wouldn't need a biography page until I had a novel or three out, and then it might be time for a fancy-schmancy press kit and all that. After all, there's a Wikipedia entry on me, and I've got all kinds of personal tidbits on the main page of this site, and surely that's enough, right?

Well, apparently not. I keep getting requests for my bio from magazine editors and convention organizers, each of whom has different length requirements. And sometimes I get a request when I'm on a trip. So, I've put up this page for my own reference as well as for the edification of random site visitors.

All the bios on this page can be freely duplicated elsewhere provided you don't alter the text (aside from mixing and matching paragraphs, if that suits your needs). Grab the one you like!
