I have an MA in journalism from Indiana University and a BS in biology from Angelo State University and I took a whole lot of coursework in English and chemistry in the process. Right now I'm taking a seemingly-random assortment of classes at The Ohio State University.
I've worked as a tech support agent, biology tutor, systems specialist, web designer, science writer, software reviewer, managing editor, research assistant, advertisement designer, early-morning radio news editor, snake wrangler, and bassoon instructor. I've been over-employed (4 jobs at once!), side-employed, and under-employed. I'm all about employment.
What? You want to know about my skills? Sure. I've got skills:
- Utilizing Microsoft Office
- Creating Photoshop graphics
- Typing 187 WPM
- De-ticking snakes
- Versifying science
- Disinfecting cat scratches
- Gerunding poor, helpless verbs
- Exaggerating my typing skills
- Exorcising Windows systems
- Installing Linux on many species of roadkill
- Making silly claims about arcane computer techniques
- Seriously, though, I'm good with snakes and Office
If you'd like to know more, I can send you an actual, factual resumé. It'll have proper punctuation and everything!
