Thero

This portrait of Thero was sent in by Quebec reader and Thero fan, Lise Warren, who modestly describes it as a "telephone sketch, the kind of drawing you make while talking. It's on grey paper and has been drawn in about 60 seconds, but so far this is the closest I have come to the way you see him. He looks sad, but it just popped out of my hand that way."

Introducing a new artist from Tula, Russia, Elena Artemyuk. "Happy Birthday to you! I wish you health, happiness and good luck. My gift for you is my drawing. It's Seregil's portrait. "...He couldn't make out his face, however; the fellow's dark hair hung to his shoulders in foppish ringlets, partually obscuring his features... The dim light of the lamp touched the side of his face, showing a longish nose and one sharp eye... Rolan watched him closely, looking as if he'd reached a not entirely agreeable decision. " He was so hard headed and so much wanted to be drawn! At the end my palms, my fingers and even my nose were darkened with a pencil, and I was so happy!" Thank you, Lena!
