From Lynn: "Years ago when I first began work on the Nightrunner Series, I needed a place for my stories to happen. I started sketching and pondering and after a few false starts and some pointers from my cartographer spouse, a wonderful landscape took form in my mind and came out as a map on a large sheet of white drafting vellum. That pen and ink original, now much wrinkled and stained, is still in use. Unfortunately it was not suitable for reduction to paperback size and had to be redrafted for the published editions. Bantam did a nice job, but I've always liked mine the best and thought some of my readers might be interested in seeing the original. Hence this project.

"In my mind's eye I've always seen it as a map Seregil or Nysander would have owned and so I've had this version done on a parchment background with some nice detailing around the edges. (Some of you might be interested to know that my friend and fellow author Anne Bishop was the designer in charge.)"
