Because the Moon 4

A voice of waves whispers that
her soft, uncluttered shoreline
slowly aches for
my heavy hull to roll against her
as the tide comes in

and, oh, these waves are lonesome
to rise against her

but there's a voice back in my house
stronger than the tug of a gibbous moon

so I turn my wave-splitting bow homeward.
