Friends and Fellow Travelers
A sampling of friends that I've met through my writing or at cons. Based on the trends below,
the 2007 Campbell award winner is bound to be another good friend :-)
-
Elizabeth Bear A fellow Bantam author and like myself a former resident
of Hartford Connecticut, Elizabeth was the 2005 Campbell award winner.
- Patricia Briggs One of my favorite
authors, I've never met Patricia Briggs in person since she lives on the west coast,
although our books can be found in stores side by side, and
we occasionally receive each other's fan mail.
- Jennifer Dunne A
prolific and award winning multi-genre author,
Jennifer Dunne is also my critique partner, and the person who encouraged
me to begin writing professionally. Thus everything I've done is her fault.
- Kate Elliott aka
Alis A. Rasmussen, writes both fantasy and science fiction. Took me far too long
to realize that two of my favorite authors were actually the same person.
- Walter Hunt
author of the "The Dark Wing" series which feature intricate
plotting and a fascinating exploration of an alien culture.
- Sharon Lee
and Steve Miller best known for their Liaden novels, of which
I own multiple copies (one to read, one to lend).
-
Chris Moriarty another Bantam author, Chris burst onto the hard
science fiction scene with her award nominated novel Spin State.
- Tee Morris
one of the most energetic people you'll ever meet, and great fun to
hang out with. He has a new fantasy novel out "Billibub Baddings and The Case of The Singing Sword"
and he is also co-editor of "The Fantasy Writer's Companion".
- Katie Murphy who writes as C.E. Murphy and Cate Dermody.
- Joshua Palmatier A good friend,
Joshua's first novel THE SKEWED THRONE was released in January 2006.
- Kristine Smith the 2001 Campbell award winner, author
of the Jani Kilian series.
- Wen Spencer, the 2003 Campbell Award winner
and a prolific author.
