Sarah Jane Elliott is a Canadian author of Speculative Fiction. She currently holds an Honours Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Toronto, Specializing in Zoology and Behaviour, which she earned by taking as many English courses as possible. Sarah was one of the 2001 winners of the Isaac Asimov Award for Undergraduate Excellence in Science Fiction and Fantasy Writing (now the Dell Magazines Award for Undergraduate Excellence in Science Fiction and Fantasy Writing), earning an Honourable Mention for her short story, "To Soothe the Savage Beast". Her first published fiction, "Tides of Change", appears in TALES FROM THE WONDER ZONE: ODYSSEY, the fourth in a series of anthologies designed for use in the classroom. ODYSSEY is edited by acclaimed Canadian Science Fiction author Julie E. Czerneda. Other fiction sales include "Wings of Fate" in FANTASTIC COMPANIONS, a Realms of Wonder book from Fitzhenry and Whiteside. When not writing, Sarah is also a museum educator, bookseller, and one half of Stellar Magpie Creations. |
