My weekend began a bit before noon, when I drove out to New Century Airport. I waited at Executive Beechcraft and 52Tango arrived with Roger Tener and Dave Moreno at 12:30. We were in the air about 1PM.

52Tango (N7252T) is a 13 year old single engine, 6 passenger Beechcraft Bonanza. It is Roger's favorite, of several that his club owns. The two hour trip to Bloomington was uneventful, with the piloting being shared by Roger, Otto (auto pilot) and myself.  On the approach to the Bloomington airport, we passed over the Empire Hotel and could see Bob Tucker's home.

I walked over to the passenger terminal and picked up our rental car (just made it, the rental counter had already closed), while they took care of the airplane, and returned for Roger and Dave. Before leaving town, we visited the Empire Hotel and Conference Center, which we are considering for an event in 2001. Then onto I-74 for the 45 minute drive to the Clarion Hotel in Champaign, where we quickly made connection with Nancy Hathaway.
