Tatra's eyes really do glow gold in the light.

Our canine family will grew by one this spring!

The picture to the right is of one-year-old Tatra at one of her ribbon-winning shows when she was known as Rise N Shine Sweet Tart. A bad knee with no patella groove has taken her off that time-line, but has enabled us to welcome her to our house. She had the last necessary surgeries on her joint late in March and was spayed at the same time; now all she needs is a bit of therapy and the time to regrow her tummy and right hip fur. Fortunately, we have lots of experience with taking care of dogs with bad knees — and the surgical repairs for such problems is so much better now than back in the mid-80s.

Tatra is Sark's size, maybe a tad smaller; Cutter, at nearly twice his and her size, will still be Top Bitch. The three dogs are still working out their relationship, but matters improve daily. Cutter is definitely Elder Sister, with all the attendent respect that title acrues; Sark is slowly working out the boy-girl relationship. Tatra herself is bouncy, and licky, and smart.

Visit with Tatra's (and Cutter's) breeder, Julie Clemons, at: Rise N Shine Poms.

If you live in western Washington state and have a small dog you need to board, Julie has a wonderful facility in the countryside of Olympia. Check it out at: Little Paws Boarding.

Tatra is a winner!

Modest? Who me?

Tatra's leg 12 days after the 2nd surgery.

Here's what the right leg will look like when her coat regrows.

Come'er, let me kiss you.
