Science Fiction as Prophecy

In 2002, Artemis published my short story, "Foggy Acres Blues," about elderly folks in nursing homes being cared for by robots into which they have downloaded their own minds. In March 2004, the news carried reports that in Japan, robots are already getting into elder care. No mental downloads yet, but the story does not seem so unlikely now.

Heard the latest about remote-controlled rats?
Here's what the press reported -- and here's the novel that says where it will go!

JUST FOR YOU!
I don't write nearly as much science fiction as I used to, but occasionally I can't resist. With a little luck, Hacking the Skin Trade will prove as prophetic as anything I've ever done--though that thought does NOT make me feel very cheery about the future. Enjoy!
