NEWSFLASH!

Lots of stuff...

First, I saw LOTR: The Two Towers on Wednesday the 18th at 11:15 AM at a matinee, using the free ticket coupon from the extended DVD.

I was absolutely wowed by one powerhouse of a movie. It was better than The Fellowship of the Ring and the attention to fine detail and intensity of emotion and at the same time an epic grandeur absolutely blew me away. I will not say any more so as not to create spoilers but I think Peter Jackson deserves to be knighted or get a medal or some other monumental distinction like the Nobel Prize for artistic achievement on a global scale.

I never thought I'd say this about any of my own work which I don't particularly want to be filmed, but if anyone has to do it, I want this man to make a movie of my own novels. In fact, I think LORDS OF RAINBOW would make a good movie by Peter Jackson! *grin* Anyway, if anyone criticizes this second LOTR installment, I will hunt you down and give your underwear a horrible wedgie!

In other good news, okay, this is the news I mentioned earlier but didn't want to divulge it when it was not quite official. Now, actually as of last week, it is. :-) My novel DREAMS OF THE COMPASS ROSE has qualified for the 2002 Nebula Award Preliminary Ballot. *happiness*

NEWSFLASH!

Criminy, it has been another long week, month, whatever. Lots of news including additions to the animal family, and some great news about DREAMS OF THE COMPASS ROSE that I cannot talk about just yet. Suffice it to say that as soon as it is official, I will. *grin*

As the year draws to a close, I concentrate on the Plan of Action (TM) for 2003. This is gonna be one helluva busy and intense year....
