NEWSFLASH!
I just got back from another business trip, this one a two-day one to San Jose, at the "heart" of good old silicon valley.... I came home to find a long-awaited response from a publisher (which will go unnamed for now) saying that they are willing to look at my novel manuscript. So, I will spend this weekend madly doing yet one more final edit on the novel, and then will send it out early this week.
Cross your kind appendages for me and my first novel, friends! :-)
This morning I also spent some time fighting the sprinklers in my back yard, and with the help of a kindly neighbor got them aligned. We also discovered a loose wire and a broken water pipe... lovely, more work for later. *rolls eyes* But now, screw it all, I am off to edit the novel!

NEWSFLASH!
Some excellent news today. The following news from SFWA:
"The SFWA Board voted under our membership rules that sff.net print anthos can serve as pro publications for the purposes of Associate and Active Membership for short fiction."
Woohoo!!! Huge congratulations to all who now qualify for SFWA Membership, based on a sale to an SFF Net anthology! That qualifies our very own Diana as Associate, if she so chooses to join, and it upgrades our Jenn to Active!

NEWSFLASH!
I've been dreading sending off my taxes, for whatever weird reason. I finished them last week, and I am due a nice refund, but something is nagging at me to say that I might get audited... I deducted my Earthlink ISP, my SFF Net membership, my LA Free-Net account, and for some freaky reason I think they might find it suspicious. Arrgh, whatever. Let them audit me, what have I got to hide?
Still dealing with my messy house.
And, dealing with some other things too.
Haven't heard back on a novel publisher query that I had sent off about 2 weeks ago....
