NEWSFLASH!
Journal entries two days in a row? Criminy, I must be insane. :-)
Actually this is a quickie, just to mention that NAWer Al Sirois' journal page is back and if you thought the guy had not been updating his journal since December, it's because we didn't have the correct link to his page! Eeeek! Well, that's remedied now, so please go back and read Al's adventures over the last couple of months, to make up for lost time!

NEWSFLASH!
Life is rising into an even more intense groove, if you can believe that...
This weekend is the Nebula Awards. Here is the program schedule, and I am on a panel on Publicity and Promotion, the 2:30 PM panel on Saturday. They forgot to list me and Laura Anne Gilman who is also on the panel, in addition to the people mentioned. Also, here is the complete signings schedule at the DV/SFWA Booth #441 in Section D of the book fair.
I am still editing my two books, and I am basically in this bizarre mental "zone" that is not to be explained, but is only to be survived.
Also, I will have a long overdue new issue of Veraworld coming out very soon. I promise! It will shock and surprise you. And that's not just promotion speak -- heck, it shocked and surprised me as I started to write the editorial.... Things are definitely happening.... Stay tuned!
You may have also noticed that the Not-A-Webring now has a publications page, thanks to Zette Gifford's hard work! Zette volunteered to maintain it for us, and bless her, because I certainly don't have the time this year, which has already jumped a groove on me, and kinda threw out some of my original plans... Check out the page! :-) And the rest of you NAWers (myself included), get your publications info to Zette, so that she can add to it.

NEWSFLASH!
Happy Easter!
Ok, I am STILL editing my two books. Will it ever end? ARGH!!! I thought I finished the edit of "Goddessday," but I ended up redoing the whole darn thing yesterday, so now I am behind schedule (what else is new), in the middle of "Tale Of Nadir."
I am also royally sick of them. Sick sick sick! Waaah! I so want to be DONE with these books!
Ok, with the wailing out of the way -- I did something far more exciting this weekend....
On Saturday I caulked the bathtub so it's now all nice and sealed up around the edges! WOOHOO! I now have white caulk cement crap all over my hands and it won't come off.
And today I re-seeded the lawn in our back yard, especially all the bald spots. I felt like Mother Nature walking around scattering seeds and chanting to them under the sun, as I was spraying them with the hose. Now, keeping in mind that I am a Garden Moron, I also realize I probably did it all wrong, but since I used up a WHOLE honkin' huge bag of premium (yes, premium!) seeds, what are the chances of at least SOME of them not germinating? C'mon! I trust in mathematical probabilities here. Think of all those gazillion little sperm going for one egg.... I think my grass seed has MUCH better chances, I'd say. See, toldja I was an optimist. *grin*
And how was your day? :-)
Just try not to think of tomorrow, Tax Day here in the US of A. All I know is, I e-filed mine last week....
Now, back to the edits!!!

NEWSFLASH!
Thanks to all of you who wrote to me after perusing my real downer of a last entry. It's ok, I am over it. :-) I recouped, and I am on the roll again. What threw me more than anything was the sudden out-of-the-blue realization that I had much more editing work left to do than I had thought, while I had even less time that I thought.... But that's typical, ain't it? *grin*
I am so busy that I can just throw up my hands and laugh.
Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING has to be done at once, so I am behind on all of it. Even Veraworld my newsletter is going to be a month late (I skipped March), though I had never said it will be a regular monthly issue -- it is tentatively a monthly irregular issue. So hopefully there will be an issue #3 within a week.
At the moment, I am madly editing two book manuscripts. This is just nuts!
At least I finally finished my taxes this weekend... I think? I e-filed them this year, for the first time, and so far the IRS has acknowledged successful recipt, but not yet the State of California. As soon as that happens, and I send in the last of my paperwork that still has to be sent with the e-file, I will be all done, woohoo!
Meanwhile, our old cat Susie has had her eye successfully removed, and she is now as healthy as an 18-year-old kitty can be, for the moment! Please think good thoughts, dear friends, that this will allow her to live happily for at least several years longer! :-)
What else? Why, I dunno! I am so busy that I cannot think! LOL! At least I updated the journal...
Oh yeah! I will be attending the Nebula Awards Weekend, and will be doing a signing at the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books fair in nearby UCLA, in conjunction with the Nebs.
I am scheduled to autograph at 10:00 AM on Saturday April 28th, in a time slot shared with Nebula Nominee Bruce Holland Rogers and Amy Sterling Casil. We will be at the Dangerous Visions & SFWA Booth 441. See you all there!
The book that I'll have on hand for signing, will most likely be the Wildside Press anthology OUTSIDE THE BOX edited by Lou Anders. ISBN: 1587152835. Get your copy today, and come on by the booth on the 28th, to get your most boootiful signature from Yours Truly. :-)
Now, back to whatever the hell it was that I was doing.... *grin*
