| The above is my first science fiction novel. It is based on the idea that luck is an objective quality that can be developed and possibly increased. I wrote the book before I read Larry Niven's Ringworld -- honest. Our young man hero is identified by the Emperor's government as being preternaturally lucky and therefore a long term threat. He is targeted for elimination but luckily escapes and joins an interstellar circus. He travels about the galaxy, learns martial arts, discovers he is a part of a rebel group and eventually confronts the Emperor. This is my only book that has appeared in both hardcover and paperback editions. The paperback is out-of-print and available only from the used book marketplace. The hardcover is also out-of-print but I have a quantity for sale at about half price from its original cost of $9.95. If published today the cost would be a great deal more. For a copy, send $5 plus $2 for shipping/handling to Don Wismer, P.O. Box 207, Kents Hill, ME 04349. I'll even sign it! | |
