The Reviews are in for the 1st volume of the DREAMLAND CHRONICLES in the Czech Republic:

Translator Zdeněk Uherčķk reports on KDYˇ SE STŘETNOU's 1st review:

… the first part of the review is a brief contents of the book.

 It comtinues:

"Old truth says that it is impossible to dive twice into the same river. But Simmons did (and because this is a trilogy he did it once more) and despite the truths he has written the book that fulfils all reader’s demands. The form and the style are vcry similar to the first volume but no one demandet such a change. So again awaits us a world that is a combination of Discworld and any other classical fantastic world. Here we meet again with many hints to different works not only from fantasy genre, but also sci-fi and comics, though in the second volume one can feel a shift to darker and more solemn position, and for a great cadence of humor we have to wait on the last third of the book. And there you find out with pleasure that his humor is still excelent, does not repeat himself and does not cook from water. On the other side, the only flaw on its beauty is a fact, that the solemn tones holds down the quickness of the story, which is not so quick as the first volume. At the end I will give you several questions: Do you like Pratchett´s Discworld or Asprin´s Myth? Have you seen Matrix and did you like it? Are you curious what would happen if those two cults meet in one book? Do you know W.M. Simmons? If  you answered yes at least twice, this is the book just for you.“
