BEFORE THERE WAS FILK...
Before I discovered Filk, before I even discovered SF Conventions, I was inflicting my questionable musical talents on hapless audiences in other venues. Concerts, coffeehouses, hootenannys, shindigs, harmonic lobotomies--you name it. The above photo was taken sometime around the mid to late 70's. Because the photo is low-res and monochrome, you cannot see the blood pouring from the audience's ears. UPDATE: Apparently my Friends F.E. are unable to identify my B.F.E. image. I'm the guy in the middle of the photo with the Ovation Acoustic/Electric 12-string guitar. Really. The tale grew with the telling...so did the author. As can be seen below...
