Deep in the
underground vault that serves as my basement, storage facilities, HVAC
center, and laundry room lies my Fortress of Researchitude, Studio &
Office. Twenty-one file drawers and five file boxes overflow with
clippings, articles, documents, and various miscellanea while twenty-four
shelves and seven drawers house a diverse collection of books that
overflow onto the two large desks with side credenzas and various other
surfaces such as the antique library table, mini-fridge, and cabinets.
In addition, the seventeen CD racks hold CD-ROMs as well as an assortment
of music, and the thirty-five spindles hold a vast assortment of DVD
recordings from such informative sources as the Discovery and History
Channels, just to name a couple. The stack of magazines waiting to
be clipped is waist-high and staying slightly ahead of me as I write this. Sadly, it is not enough! Fortunately, the internet offers further abundance in research opportunities! I know that some writer's sites offer links so that their readers/visitors may benefit from a little shared knowledge. As for me...meh...I'm using this page to bring some semblance of order to the creeping chaos that threatens to engulf Mark's Desk at any given moment. Feel free to look over my shoulder, if you wish, but I'm really looking at this as an opportunity to clean out my Outlook Favorites folder... I'm always open to suggestions: if you know of a great site (particularly in the "reference" category) drop me an email with the info or link...
