This little Buff Belly decided to stay with us a while last winter. These are screen captures from the home video I got of it. Thanks to Colette!

BuffBelly spreading its tail

It spent a lot of time in the pata de vaca where it could keep its eye on the feeder at all times. Buff-Bellies are the only monomorphic species to breed in the US and are mostly found in south Texas though their range is increasing across the Gulf Coast.
